Getting Around Blackpool
Blackpool beach resort is compact so walking is an ideal option on your hen weekend… Everything is within close proximity to your accommodation so you can get where you want to go with ease, however Maximise understand that you and the girls won’t want to go everywhere by foot, nor will you be in the state to sometimes… So here’s a guide on all the transport options available to you in Blackpool… and as one of the busiest tourist destinations in Europe it stands to reason that there is an ample amount on offer! Trams are not only iconic in Blackpool but are also a great way to see the city… Stretching right along the promenade the trams are a great way for you to travel around the city quickly! The buses in Blackpool run regularly, throughout the day and night and a cheap way to get to where you need to go on your hen do. There are always taxis waiting for your custom. Both pre booked taxi and hackney carriages to hail on the street or, failing that why not catch a horse drawn hackney carriage on your hen weekend. The taxis are reasonably priced making it a great way to get back to your accommodation after a late night of having fun with the girls! Driving in Blackpool is straight forward and with no real hassle, but like any busy town can get congested. Getting To Blackpool
By Air – Blackpool airport is located just outside the town centre, approximately 2.5 miles away, meaning that it couldn’t be easier to travel to Blackpool by air. It receives both domestic and international flights daily and can accommodate 350,000 passengers each year. Taxis and buses are always waiting outside to transport you to your centrally located accommodation. A taxi will cost around £20 per car or £30 for an 8-seater mini bus.
By Train – Blackpool has two main stations, Blackpool South which offers connections to local destinations and Blackpool North that connects the town to major UK cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol and up to 10 connections to London each day with each train journey taking around 3.5 hours Nowadays there is also some great deals to be had on train tickets, making travelling to Blackpool for your hen do by train, a great option!
By Road – From the North of England and Scotland, the most direct route to Blackpool is the M6, leave at junction 32, and continue on to the M55, which takes you directly into Blackpool. From London and the South East join the M6 until junction 32 and then take the exit for the M55. It will take around 4 hours and 20 minutes to get to Blackpool from central London! From the West of the country join the M5 until Birmingham, then take the M6 and finally take the exit for the M55.
