Location

We do locations all over the UK and Europe. With the extensive range of Marriott hotels at your disposal, you're unlikely to want your weekend in a location that we cannot cater for.

When thinking about where to go, it is worth considering the time frame available. For far-flung destinations, consider that if you will be leaving on the Friday night after work finishes, then you may not arrive until late Friday evening. Though this is not necessarily a problem, travel time can eat into your precious weekend. You can always make it up by departing that bit later on Sunday however!

The Date

Avoid booking the weekend too close to the wedding, so as to allow for any recovery time needed and unforeseen events. Be mindful of clashes with other events - birthdays, holidays, special events, other weddings etc. Consider the time of year and the weather, and how it will affect your weekend. Are you going for one, two or three nights? Does everyone know how many nights the weekend comprises?

Organization

The early bird catches the worm! Putting feelers out to the group, getting a sense of what people will be happy with, and then getting the weekend booked up early is a recipe for success. All activities and accommodation are necessarily dependent on availability, so book early and avoid disappointment.

Getting organized early also gives everyone plenty of time to get money together and plan for the weekend.

Transport

You are likely to be in a sizeable group, therefore transport arrangements will inevitably provide complications on your weekend. You should only be concentrating on fun, which is where we come in. Let us take all the hassle away by ensuring that sufficient transport is at each of your venues, on time and friendly and ready to whisk you off to your next destination!

Accommodation

Quality of accommodation varies wildly amongst hotels in the UK, especially in the mid-range and in spite of the star rating system, so if you are not familiar with the region a hotel is located in it may be very hard to discern whether it will come up to standard.

We take away this concern and ensure you will sleep peacefully. Marriott hotels are guaranteed by a standard and reputation recognised the world over.

Numbers

You don't have to commit to a specific number going away when you book, as things always change between then and the event. So give us a rough number and we will make sure your venues can accommodate your whole party. Just let us know the exact number when it comes to paying your balance six weeks before going away.

Where to go

UK or Europe? England, Ireland, Wales or Scotland. Country retreat or urban nightspot? Some cities are calmer, some are more vibrant. Inquire with one of our events team if you would like any advice on where to go. Lastly, be aware of flight times and airport locations if you go abroad.

What to do

If there is a specific activity that you would like to do on the weekend inquire with us and we will let you know if its available in your chosen location, and if its not, what your other options are. International trips

Insurance is essential when travelling abroad. We can provide you with it if you need it. If something goes wrong you may find that standards - such as public liability - that you have come to expect in England are not mirrored in some other countries. Its always a good idea to register at the post office for a European health insurance card, so hospitals can approve things quickly in the event of an accident.

Be aware of any disclaimers related to activities such as white water rafting. We have checked them all and they are designed to be fair and relevant, but you should always read them through thoroughly before signing.

As an EU citizen you are entitled to travel anywhere within Europe, but if the group is multi-cultural then all members should ensure they have the relevant visas in plenty of time before the weekend. Recent legislative changes in America.
