Getting Around Leeds
Leeds has a compact city centre, making it easy to get around on foot. If walking isn’t your style however, the public transport on offer in this city is fast and efficient and usually cost effective! Hop on board one of the free city buses that loop around the city daily! It runs every 5 minutes and stops at both the bus and train station. If you want a different approach to travelling around the city, why not try cycling... Leeds is very accommodating to cyclists with cycle lanes on most of the roads in the city centre! Driving in Leeds can be a little confusing at times... They have a one-way system to tackle so Maximise recommend taking a Sat Nav with you!

Getting To Leeds
By Air - Leeds is home to the Leeds Bradford International Airport situated approximately 11km outside the city centre. It is served by both premium and low cost airlines so you are sure to get a good deal on flights whether you are travelling from within the UK or from further afield! There are great transport links at the airport for your onward journey and a taxi to your centrally located accommodation will cost in the region of £25 per car! Alternatively there are regular busses that go to the city centre, which will usually take about 1 hour.
By Train – Leeds city station is the third busiest station outside of London and transports approximately 36.8 million people to their destinations annually. The station provides connections to London, Bristol, Plymouth, Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, York and Edinburgh. From London to Leeds it takes approximately 2 hours by train so it’s a great alternative to driving. The station itself is only a 5-10 minute walk into the heart of the city centre.
By Road – Leeds is linked to some major motorways, M1 and M62, and is close to the A1 making it easily accessible no matter where you are travelling from. Leeds is 196 miles north of London and it will take roughly 3.5 hours to get there… depending on how many times you stop for toilet breaks!

Corn Exchange – This impressive building in Leeds city centre, close to the bus station, houses a variety of boutique shops that gives a glimpse of Leeds’ more alternative side. The Corn Exchange hosts many different fairs including a record fair and a hand crafted fair.
