Getting Around Manchester
The city centre is easily accessible by foot, but if that's too much like exercise for you hop on board one of the many free city shuttle buses than run every 5 minutes and transport you all across the city. This is really a great and inexpensive way to explore the city and see what's on offer to you and your stag group! Trams are also a popular mode of transport in Manchester, with day saver passes offering a cheap way to see the city... Tickets cost around £4 and are valid all day. Taxis are much cheaper in the north and Manchester is no exception, with a city centre trip costing around £3 they are a great way to get back to your accommodation after a heavy night enjoying the Mancunian nightlife. As usual of a big city, buses run regularly and efficiently throughout the day and night! Manchester may be a large city but you will have no trouble exploring on offer with a large selection of public transport to see you on your way....

Manchester is home to one of the strongest clubbing scenes in the country and with a massive number of students it's home to a young, vibrant population all out to have a great time in the city! Due to the vast student population there is always a cheap night to be had from free entry to cut price drinks! The main student area in Manchester is Fallowfield, this is where you will find all the best deals in the bars, pubs and clubs that litter the streets in this area. The Northern Quarter offers a more bohemian feel with loads of laid backed independently run establishments. Oxford Road is awash with various watering holes - You're bound to find something you like amongst the vast array of bars, pubs and clubs that are situated here! Deansgate is popular with WAGS and footballers... and the prices reflect this, but id you want an upmarket place to drink on your stag weekend, this is the place to go! Deansgate Locks are swanky bars housed in converted railway arches, again drinks are more expensive here than they are in the city centre but the location is a strong selling point and are extremely popular with locals and tourists alike. Getting To Manchester
By Air - Manchester is home to the busiest international airport outside of London, Meaning that travelling to your stag do from England or abroad is an absolute doddle! Low cost and Premium airlines use this airport so you're sure to find a great deal on tickets! There is a train station situated just outside the airport and taxis are a regular sight at the airport so you won't find any problems getting to your city centre accommodation! Taxis from the airport to the city centre cost around £20 per car.
By Train - Piccadilly Station is situated on London Roads in the heart of Manchester city centre and accommodates over 83,000 passengers and 1000 train movements every single day. There are regular trains coming in to Piccadilly Station from London and with an average travel time of just 2 hours, it's a great alternative to driving!
By Road - Travelling to Manchester by road is a great way to keep costs down and it's always a laugh to have a road trip! Having a car on your stag weekend in Manchester also means that you have more independence and explore a bit further out of the city centre than you would be able to without a vehicle!
