Sales Account Manager - Stag & Hen Weekends Department
Location: Elstree/Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Salary: Good Basic + Uncapped Commission
Job Description
WHO ARE MAXIMISE Maximise is a young and exciting company specialising in top class activity based party weekends across the UK and throughout Europe. We are 12 years old and are one the most established companies in our field. We also run www.activitygifts.co.uk, a website that operates in the gift experience market.
WHAT MAXIMISE DO We organise packaged weekends to include accommodation, exciting activities and nightlife. Our packages also include restaurant bookings, airport transfers and almost anything else our customers would want on their weekends. We work closely with many major hotel chains and enjoy strong relationships with over 400 suppliers.
EXPERIENCE YOU REQUIRE This position is ideal for somebody with at least a year (preferably two) sales experience (Recruitment, Media Sales, Telemarketing, Travel Sales, Real Estate, PA or similar). Recent graduates with outgoing personalities and some professional work experience seeking a challenging first job will also be considered.
WHAT DOES THE JOB INVOLVE All our enquiries come in via e-mail or over the phone so there is no cold calling involved. Upon the initial enquiry the client provides us with an outline idea of the activities they wish to do, where they want to do them and an approximate budget. Our Account Managers discuss various options with the customers and provide advice on what would be most appropriate for them. They then put together a proposal, and email it out. After some follow up conversations, and some possible tweaking, the customer books the weekend and we take the deposit. Following that we book the hotels, activities, restaurants, and nightclubs. We then send the details to the customers and ensure everything runs smoothly up until the group go away.

We thrive on repeat business, as it's the best barometer of how good the service we provide is, so excellent service from our team is essential. Everything needs to run smoothly and flawlessly and the whole weekend should exceed our customer's expectations. For this to happen we need our team to be well organised and have an eye for detail. You will need to be enthusiastic, confident, tenacious and creative. Someone with an excellent telephone manner, personable and with the ability to quickly bond with the customer is essential. The ability to close deals in a competitive situation is also important. OPPORTUNITIES The role will allow you to be creative and will give you scope to develop our website, its content, our packages and locations. Opportunities to visit locations and enjoy preferential rates for personal travel will also be available to you after a qualifying period.
