Getting around Brussels

Like most capitals, cars in Brussels end up mostly sitting in traffic during rush hours that seem to end all day. Fortunately as a fairly compact capital city you can get to most of what you need to on foot! If you are venturing further out there’s great public transport links in the form of the bus-tram-metro system, and one of our lovely English speaking guides will be happy to guide you if you’re still not sure! You’ll be able to grab a cab or book an Uber on your phone easy enough in the evenings and they’re nowhere near as dear as the cabs in the capital of England!

While we definitely recommend you try the waffles, fries and chocolate that Brussels is famed for while you’re out there – it doesn’t have to be all junk food… from cheap eats to fine dining, the capital of Belgium has everything on offer for grub on your stag do! There’s two distinct cuisines the city is famous for – refined French dishes, and meat heavy Flemish plates, which isn’t to say nothing else is on offer – this multicultural hub of the world has everything from African to Asian food on offer. For distinctly Belgian bites – try fresh moules (mussels), bloedworst (black pudding), steack de cheval (horse steak!) and wash them all down with a pint of locally brewed Belgian beer. Don’t miss out on the chocolate at world famous Laurent Gerbaud, or sampling the delicious street food of Marolles or mouth-watering Congolese cuisine in the Matonge.
