There are so many ways to explore London on your stag do. From rickshaws to the tube, you’ll never be short of an interesting way to travel around the nation's capital. The city of London is well-served by both buses and taxis and are both plentiful all hours of the day and night.

Be mindful, taxis will be expensive even for short journeys and at night the prices will skyrocket.

The most famous form of transport is, of course, the tube. A ticket for the day will cost you around £6 with unlimited travel within the allocated zones. On some lines, the beloved tube is also available throughout the night, meaning getting back to your stag party accommodation is both hassle-free and affordable.

While driving in London is not overly complicated, it can be very slow, congested and expensive with the introduction of the congestion charge. It's best just to avoid driving altogether, especially when the public transport is so good.

By Air: London is home to many international airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead and Luton, which are located across the city, making getting to London by air very easily. The airports operate with both high-end airlines and low-cost ones too making cheap travel accessible to all. For onward journeys buses, taxis and trains are readily available from each airport.

By Rail: London, as the capital has very strong rail links to the rest of the country, making travel from other parts of England relatively quick and easy. The most significant stations in London are Euston, Kings Cross, Liverpool Street, Paddington, St Pancreas, Victoria and Waterloo. Travelling to London via rail couldn’t be easier nowadays with fares for as little as £6.50 from Birmingham or £10 from Newcastle.

By Car: For journeys from the East of England start on the A1 and make your way to the M1, which will take you into the heart of London. From the West, Midlands and Scotland Take the M6 until the M1 and from the South West Including Cardiff and Bristol take the M4. The M25 is also a major link to London and is easily accessible to those who live closer to the London area.

Things to see in London

London Zoo: Located in the Northern part of Regent’s Park, just a short walk from Camden tube station, this 35-acre site has over 750 different species of animals.

Boat Trips: Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, Houses of Parliament, Tate Modern, St Paul's Cathedral and the London Eye can all be seen from the river Thames. Alternatively, you can take a canal boat taxi and see Camden and Little Venice from the water.

Walk Around Hampstead Heath: A huge park in the north of the city which is great for a stroll on a nice day. Just don't walk for too long, you could find yourself hopelessly lost! For the best view, head to Hampstead tube station on the northern line and walk up to the park, you'll get a view of the whole of London, all the way down to Canary Wharf. Great for a photo.

Brilliant weekend all in all and one of the best stag weekends we been on for a while. Arranging entry into bars and clubs through Maximise made it so much easier although one of the lads didn't get into club as after three pints he was all over the place....so we went in anyway :) London is defo a 24 hour city. Cheers team!

This is going to sound pretty strange for a guy organising a stag weekend ....but seeing the sights was brilliant - hadn't been to London for years! Wow! .... oh and the stag do (accommodation, two nights out and whisky tasting on Saturday) with great friends was also brilliant :) Thanks Maximise!

Quality doesn't come cheap and bars and clubs on expensive side to us northerners but was a great weekend - especially the bubble Football! Well done.
