Getting around Norwich

Norwich is easily accessible by foot, with a pedestrianised city centre and everything you could possibly need for an awesome stag do within walking distance! If you want to explore a little further afield on your stag do, the bus network in Norwich is fast, efficient and reliable, with buses running throughout the day and evening. Taxis are also a great mode of transport on your stag do and can be flagged down on the street or pre ordered, with these being the best option for you and the lads after a big night out! Make sure you find the taxi offices in Prince of Wales road, you can sit inside while you wait and even eat a takeaway. Driving in Norwich is pretty simple and there is plenty of parking in both public and private car parks.

The nightlife in Norwich city centre offers a selection for everybody. Whatever your tastes and budgets, Norwich can provide you with an awesome night out. Traditional pubs rich with local history to vibrant clubs with hundreds of party revellers in attendance. Most of the nightlife can be found on Prince of Wales Road which has loads of different clubs and bars open on the weekend, and Thursdays which is student night. Queen Street near Tombland also has some great clubs and bars on it, which are less popular than the ones on Prince of Wales so you'll get served much quicker. The restaurants in Norwich are located all across the city, but they're mainly concentrated in two different locations. Right in the city centre there's Tombland, home to some great chain restaurants as well as some interesting independent places. There's plenty of others located around the city too, so check ahead if you want something specific. Secondly, there's Riverside, right by the train station. This is a great little hub of nightlife which has pubs serving traditional food as well as dedicated restaurants that have tons of different cuisines on offer. There's also bars here and nightclubs just round the corner, so you can centre your whole evening around it! If you're not sure where to go, we can arrange meals at top Tapas, Mexican and Italian restaurants. Getting to Norwich

By Air: Norwich International Airport is four miles to the north of the city and connects a number of both UK and European destinations by airlines including Flybe and KLM so you can get some great deals on flights throughout the year! Taxis and the Airport Park & Ride bus service are available to take passengers in to the city centre.
By Train: Greater Anglia operates regular train services between Norwich and London Liverpool Street with an average journey time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. There's also a direct service from Peterborough, Cambridge, Ipswich and other parts of East Anglia, as well as the connecting services from the Midlands, North of England and Scotland with a change at Peterborough. The station is just a 15 minute walk from the city centre and taxis and buses also run regularly to the city centre from the station.
By Road: Major roads that lead to the Norwich area are the M11, A11, A12, A140 and A14 from London and the south east of England. The A14, A11, A47, A17 and A1 serve the Midlands and the north of England.

Things to see in Norwich

Norwich Castle: 900 years of history lie perched on the mound in the city centre. It was built by the Normans and began its early life as a palace before it became a prison in the 14th century. It has since been turned into a museum.
Norwich Cathethdral: Norwich cathedral was built over 900 years ago and is a magnificent place to visit. With its French limestone, a 2 storey cloister and a font which was once used for chocolate making. The cathedral stands 315 feet high and has the second tallest spire in England.
Elm Hill: Elm Hill is one of the oldest streets in Norwich. This narrow cobbled street is flanked either side by genuine Tudor houses some of which are now pretty little shops. Apparently there are more Tudor houses in Elm Hill than in the whole of the City of London.

Was very good weekend that went down well with both the Stag and the Stag party, very well organised and on time with everything we did. Hotel provided was a lot better than we expected, very clean and helpful and had no problems with the fact is was a Stag party staying there.
