Tenerife has a warm tropical climate with around 50 weeks of the year boasting sunshine. The average annual temperature is 25C so it's a great location to visit when the it's winter in the UK. Make sure you head to the south of the Island though as the north can be up to 10C cooler.

If you want to explore more of the Island on your last weekend of freedom then hiring a car is an ideal option for you and the lads, however if you're not looking to travel the island then Tenerife is easy to navigate on foot. Everything is very close by: the strip, the supermarket, the hotel and the beach. However if you don’t fancy walking then finding a taxi is easy in Tenerife. There are taxi ranks in every single resort and they can be spotted driving around all over the place. Taxis display a green light on the roof or in the windscreen and will have an official plate with the letters ‘SP’. Alternatively, getting around by bus in Tenerife is a very affordable way of seeing the island. The buses are reliable and run regularly!

Playa De Las America's is the party capital of Tenerife and is home to some truly unforgettable bars and clubs. The nightlife in this vibrant resort is centred around two main areas: Starcos and Veronica's. Both of these areas attract a younger crowd and are where you will find the lively party atmosphere. Starcos is a great place to start the night as it has some fantastic bars and Veronica's, where most of the best clubs are situated is a great place to end the night. Whatever you're looking for you're sure to find it in Tenerife.

Things to see in Tenerife

The Patch: The Patch is located in the heart of Playa de las Americas, next to Las Palmeras Hotel. There you will find loads of restaurants, Karaoke bars, arcades and places to have a drink.
Ferry Trip, La Gomera: La Gomera is the smallest island in the Canaries and it has an amazing mixture of rugged mountains, earthy valleys, misty tropical forests and a fascinating ocean. Ferries run daily and are relatively cheap - a great day out on your stag weekend in Tenerife.
Siam Waterpark: A fun filled day full of exhilarating water rides ranging from rapids to almost vertical drops! Siam Park has it all - Guaranteed to be a brilliant day out on your stag.
The Beach: No stag weekend would be complete without the obligatory trip to the beach! The beautiful sandy beaches are a fantastic way to relax and after some sunbathing and time in the ocean you can retreat to one of the many great beach bars for a well deserved beer.
