The secret is out. Formerly a forgotten territory of the Soviet Union, Lithuania and its capital city have recently emerged as big news in the stag industry. Very popular with British stag groups, the city serves up an impressive combination of history and culture, but is best known for some serious after-dark activity. The nightlife is truly unique, with bars and pubs serving mainly local beers from Lithuania, the vast majority of which aren't sold anywhere else in the world. Despite its independence the Russian influence is not lost, and vodka is very big, with special Lithuanian varieties infused with local fruits being incredibly popular.

If you didn't already have enough variety in the evening, then your day activities will more than compensate. There is guns galore, and anybody looking to head to the firing range won't be disappointed. If you've got something a bit different in mind then we have snowmobiles, off road driving and a quad safari. For those who want something more relaxing check out the ice fishing and curling. There's something for everybody in this unique Baltic location.

Getting around Vilnius

The best way to get around Vilnius on your stag weekend is to walk. Vilnius has a very compact city centre meaning that it would be very rare that any form of public transport would even be needed. But if you want to explore a little bit further, Vilnius has a range of travel options to suit your group including buses, trains and trolley buses. These are all cost effective ways to explore your surroundings, with an all day ticket costing only around £3! Driving in Vilnius is probably not the best idea, much of the Old Town has been pedestrianised and parking can be very limited and far outside the city centre. Taxis are available throughout the city, both day and night and are a great way to get back to your accommodation if a little worse for wear. Just remember to haggle over the price.
